The FSC says that it has identified an unregulated trading operation.

The Anguilla Financial Services Commission is informing the public that it has not licenced Mayfair Options and Intercore Marketing to carry on the business of trading any form of securities or commodities, including binary option contracts, for high-net-worth individuals or others.

Any such business incorporated or otherwise organised under the laws of Anguilla is not regulated by the Commission and might not be regulated anywhere. Investors should be aware of the risks associated with unregulated investment business.

Investopedia states that a binary option is type of option in which the payoff is structured to be either a fixed amount of compensation if the option expires in the money, or nothing at all if the option expires out of the money. The success of a binary option is thus based on a yes/no proposition, hence 'binary'. The option-holder is not given the choice to buy or sell the underlying asset.

Any complaints with respect to Mayfair Options and Intercore Marketing Ltd may be directed to the registered agent of Intercore Marketing Ltd, namely: Stafford Corporate Services Ltd, 201 Rogers Office Building, Edwin Wallace Rey Drive, George Hill, Anguilla, Tel: +1 (264) 498-5858.
