Duff & Phelps, the corporate finance advisory firm, has acquired CounselWorks, a provider of compliance and regulatory advisory services in the US to clients in the alternative asset management sector.

CounselWorks was founded in 2006 by Rosemary Fanelli and Ron Resnick. Fanelli is the firm’s CEO. The acquired business will be incorporated into Duff & Phelps’ global compliance and regulatory consultancy arm, which she will lead. She will report to Julian Korek who runs the consultancy globally.
