The UK's Financial Conduct Authority has published rules to apply the Senior Insurance Managers Regime (SIMR) to Swiss general insurers. They will come into force on 7 March 2016, except for some 'grandfathering' provisions which apply now.

The FCA has issued an order, the Individual Accountability (Swiss General Insurers) Instrument 2016, to act as the legal basis for the rule-changes. It has amended the Senior Management Arrangements, Systems and Controls sourcebook (SYSC), the Code of Conduct sourcebook (COCON), and the Supervision manual (SUP).
