Auditor reform comes to Oman

The Capital Market Authority of Oman has decided to restrict the number of jobs that auditors are allowed to do for the same customers in an attempt to clamp down on undue influence.
Audit firms, according to the regulator which is naming no names, are henceforth only allowed to perform three services outside the ambit of auditing for their audit customers. The previous figure was 13.
