Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Smith & Williamson, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Others

(MSIM) has made two appointments to its international equity team. Candida de Silva has joined as a senior portfolio specialist and Helena Miles will be a generalist research analyst.

De Silva will be based in London after spending 11 years at BlackRock, most recently as head of its UK charities and endowments business, and previously as head of EMEA retail marketing. Prior to that she was executive director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management following four years at Mellon and its subsidiary Newton Investment Management, where she covered international marketing for their institutional and intermediary businesses.

Miles has moved over from the capital group where she covered luxury goods and retail. Before that she dealt with European business services at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. As a generalist research analyst, she will work with portfolio managers Nic Sochovsky and Alex Gabriele across the global franchise, global quality, global sustain and international equity portfolios.

Brewin Dolphin
, the UK wealth management firm, has appointed a new financial planner in its Bristol office, James Shattock.

Shattock has more than 20 years’ experience as a financial advisor, and most recently was employed at Hargreaves Lansdown, where he spent 18 years in their advisory services division. Previously, he held roles at Sedgwick (now Barclays Wealth) and Friends Provident.
