, the offshore law firm, has appointed Andrew Johnstone, a partner, as head of litigation, involvency and restructuring for its Cayman Islands office.

Johnstone has been with Harneys in Hong Kong for over four years where he has built a leading reputation as an offshore litigator. He relocated to Cayman in early September, to join and lead the Cayman disputes team.

Johnstone specialises in fraud and asset tracing, asset preservation and enforcement, shareholder disputes, contentious trusts and insolvency. He has advanced specialist expertise in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional litigation, including obtaining recognition orders, and all forms of interim relief such as disclosure orders, freezing injunctions, anti-suit injunctions and search orders.

A team of 88 people work in the Harneys’ litigation and insolvency team in the Cayman Islands.
