has appointed Sital Fontenelle (pictured) as new head of its family and divorce team, effective from 1 March. Fontenelle will succeed Charlotte Bradley who is stepping back from team management responsibilities after 10 years to focus on client work, the London-based firm said.

Fontenelle, who has been a partner since 2018, specialises in the complex financial aspects of a divorce, negotiating and drafting of nuptial agreements as well as private children law cases. Fontenelle typically acts for high net worth individuals, often on cases involving an international dimension, offshore trusts, family businesses, inherited wealth or asset tracing.
Bradley (pictured below) is an accredited mediator and co-author of the textbook on Schedule 1 for family law practitioners.

Harneys
, the global offshore law firm, has brought one of its senior figures to its London office after taking time out in academia.
Colin Reigels is now a partner in the UK capital. Previously, he was the firm's managing partner for the British Virgin Islands and global head of the banking and finance practice group.
In 2019, Riegels stepped away from the job to pursue his doctorate, at Oxford University, relating to cross-border enforcement of security interests.
Riegels will work with Harneys’ general counsel function and will provide support to the transactional practice group. He specialises in all aspects of offshore financing with an emphasis on derivatives, netting and close-out, insolvency, and security enforcement. He has also undertaken extensive work on complex issues relating to company and partnership law, and in relation to the law of confidentiality. In other work, Riegels has been involved in developing BVI legislation such as the BVI Business Companies Act, the BOSS Act and the Arbitration Act.
