Brooks Macdonald Names New CEO
The move comes after the current CEO decided to retire after 22 years with the group.
UK wealth manager Brooks Macdonald has appointed Andrea Montague (pictured) as group chief executive officer, starting in October, and subject to regulatory approval.
The move comes after Andrew Shepherd decided to retire after 22 years with the group, and latterly three years as group chief executive officer.
To ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities, and in conjunction with her role of chief financial officer, Montague has been appointed as group CEO designate from 1 July, the firm said in a statement.
Montague, who joined the group in August 2023, was most recently group chief risk officer at Aviva, and group chief financial controller before that. She has also held senior leadership positions at Royal London Group and Standard Life, the firm added.
The group has now started a search for the chief financial officer role.
Brooks Macdonald, through its various subsidiaries, provides wealth management services in the UK and internationally. The group, which was founded in 1991, has discretionary funds under management of £17.9 billion ($22.3 billion).
