Change At The Top Of Switzerland's Banque Bonh么te & Cie

The new CEO, who joined as chief operating officer a year ago, is taking over from the man who has been at the bank for two decades, half of which were as chief executive.

Banque Bonh么te & Cie has appointed Kim-Andr茅e Potvin (main picture) as its new CEO from the start of January 2025. She is taking the reins from Yves de Montmollin (pictured below) who, after 20 years at the bank, will  be joining its board of directors to become vice-chairman in April. He had spent about 10 years in the chief executive role.

Potvin, who joined Bonh么te a year ago as its new chief operating officer, has led operations for financial institutions from Paris, Geneva and Luxembourg. The bank said her 鈥渄edication to ESG issues is aligned perfectly with the values of Bonh么te, a certified B Corp.鈥 In February, Potvin replaced former COO, Olivier Vollenweider, who is now the firm's chief administration officer.

The bank鈥檚 board thanked de Montmollin and noted his achievements which included opening new branches in Lausanne and Solothum, purchasing a bank in Zurich, and establishing a department focused on independent asset managers.

In October, the organisation appointed former Schroder & Co Bank AG senior figure Marc Brodard as its new chief client officer.

Headquartered in Neuch芒tel for more than 200 years, Bonh么te has branches in Berne, Biel/Bienne, Geneva, Lausanne, Solothurn and Zurich.

The bank has made a number of appointments over recent months, as reported here and here.
