The appointment represents Close Brothers Asset Management’s aim to grow the business organically and maintain high levels of service in the UK.

Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) has appointed Marcelo Rodrigues (pictured) as managing director for Scotland, where he will be responsible for CBAM’s growth ambitions across Scotland and help improve their capabilities for high net worth (HNW) clients.

He has also held senior management positions at NatWest and Lloyds Banking Group where he was responsible for providing financial advice to high net worth individuals, the firm said in a statement.

“Moving forward, our immediate priority is to continue to grow the business organically, whilst maintaining the high levels of service that our clients deserve and have grown used to,” Rodrigues said.

Close Brothers Asset Management provides a range of advice, investment management and self-directed services to private clients and professional advisors. The business operates from offices in London, Bristol, Chester, Manchester, Gatwick, Newcastle, Midlands, Farnham, Northwich, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
