The former CIO is joining the new investment firm's advisory board.
Kevin Corrigan, the former chief investment officer of Sandaire, the UK-based multi-family office, has been made founding member of the fixed-income management firm Resco Asset Management.
Besides his CIO slot at Sandaire, Corrigan has been head of fundamental fixed income, Lombard Odier; executive director, Goldman Sachs Asset Management; and MD, Fischer Frances Trees & Watts.
The advisory board that Corrigan has joined will import a network of other people, Resco’s chief executive Scott Shuberg said. “We are not seeking superficial advisory appointments, rather Kevin is someone we have the utmost personal respect for beyond his stellar credentials, and he shares our desire to create deep and lasting improvements in this industry,” he said.
“My sense is that the disconnect between asset managers and investors has grown too large and a better alignment is no longer desirable but an imperative. Consensus decision-making, herding behaviour and poor benchmarks, have become endemic, particularly in fixed income. Boutiques play an important role here, fostering innovation, more effective decision-making and new thinking,” Corrigan said of the firm.
Resco was incorporated, funded and licensed by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority in 2018. Resco was founded by David Ric, Alex Eventon and Scott Schuberg and is 100 per cent employee owned.
