Henderson Outsources To IFDS

International Financial Data Services, the transfer agency joint venture between State Street Corporation and DST Systems, has completed the conversion and integration of Henderson Global Investors’ open- and closed-ended fund ranges.

Under the deal Henderson has consolidated and outsourced its investor record-keeping and transfer agency to IFDS on a full-service basis, the firms said in a statement. This includes the servicing of distributors and financial institutions, along with the investor and advisor call centre for its UK range of open- and closed-ended funds.

“The transition to IFDS, in conjunction with our rebranding exercise, completes the integration of New Star for our UK Retail business. The transition has been a great success and involved extensive effort and planning by everyone involved to complete on time,” Alan Hardgrave, chief operating officer at Henderson Group, said in a statement.

IFDS currently provides investor record-keeping and transfer agency services to over 200 firms, representing over 17 million accounts and 5,000 funds. Among the high-profile additions to IFDS’ client roster over the past year is Aviva Investors, which in October of 2009 outsourced to the firm its investor record-keeping and transfer agency functions.
