Isle Of Man-Based Platform Firm Rebrands After Takeover Deal

Acordias, the Isle of Man-based global wealth platform, has rebranded as Ardan International, following its acquisition by UK-based firm Rowan Dartington.

Acordias, the Isle of Man-based global wealth platform, has rebranded as Ardan International, following its acquisition by UK-based firm Rowan Dartington, it said yesterday.

The new name, which means “platform” in Manx (the Isle of Man’s local language), will be effective immediately, the firm said in a statement.

“Since the acquisition of the platform by Rowan Dartington there has been a significant investment into the business. The launch indicates that we are now fully open for business to support the advisor community worldwide,” Trevor Cheal, chairman of Ardan International, said.

Ardan International is a global open architecture wealth platform that allows financial advisors to manage investments through a single service. The service includes dealing, custody and client administration. The firm is now 92.5 per cent owned by Rowan Dartington, with the remaining portion owned by individual investors.
