The new investment director will ensure that investors have access to wider and more complex financial oversight and planning.
UK wealth manager JM Finn has appointed Lucy Coutts, who has been at JM Finn since 2011, as head of its York office, starting immediately.
As an investment director, Coutts will look after portfolios for a range of clients and work with the in-house wealth planning team to ensure that investors have access to wider and more complex financial oversight and planning. She is also a member of the firm’s Asset Allocation and Stock Selection committees, the firm said in a statement.
“Having an investment director running the office will ensure the team in York continue to put their clients’ investment needs first and with her broadening public profile, I hope JM Finn’s status as a prominent wealth manager in the north will be cemented further,” Paul Dyas, head of Investment Management at JM Finn, said.
JM Finn moved its most northerly branch office to York recently following 20 years of being based in Leeds.
By simplifying the financial challenges that investors face, JM Finn said it aims to protect and nurture wealth across generations. By putting an investment manager as the main point of contact, the firm aims to develop long-term relationships with clients of all ages to guide them through the complex world of investing so their wealth can last generations.
With over 85 investment professionals, JM Finn holds funds under management and administration of £10.4 billion ($13 billion) on behalf of over 18,500 clients. The firm, which is headquartered in London, has four regional offices around the country in Bristol, Bury St Edmunds, York and Winchester. The York office has 12 staff of which nine are investment managers. Between them they look after over £700 million ($890 million) on behalf of over 1,300 clients.
