Julius Baer International Achieves CISI Chartered Firm Status

The bank's business in the UK said the status is a high mark of professionalism and trustworthiness.

Julius Baer International – part of Julius Baer – has secured CISI Chartered Firm status from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment – a high mark of trustworthiness and professionalism, the bank said.

To achieve the status, at least half of such a firm’s staff in its core area must be individually chartered with CISI; CISI qualifications and a CPD programme should be in place, and the organisation’s values and purpose should fit with the CISI code of conduct.

“Reputation and trust are of paramount importance in our industry, so we hold ourselves to very high standards in all that we do to provide the best possible client service,” David Durlacher (pictured), CEO, Julius Baer International Ltd, said.

In Switzerland, Julius Baer last week said it recruited four relationship managers in the Aargau/Solothurn market and the foundations team.
