Pinebridge Investments Names APAC, EMEA Intermediary Distribution Head

The newly-appointed figure has worked in the intermediary distribution segment for more than two decades, operating in Europe and Asia.

PineBridge Investments, the asset management house, has named Nicolas Kopitsis (pictured) as head of intermediary distribution for Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa, effective 1 January.

Kopitsis, who is based in Singapore, will oversee the firm’s intermediary business strategy and distribution of the firm's investment products and capabilities to private banks, family offices, retail banks, insurers, and distribution platforms. He has a particular focus on the UK, Switzerland, and certain Asian markets.

Joining the firm in 2021 as Asia wealth management head, based in Singapore, Kopitsis was previously head of intermediary distribution, Asia ex-Japan, at BNY Mellon. He has worked in the intermediary segment for more than 20 years in Asia and Europe.

"Over the past five years we have witnessed a 50 per cent increase of our AuM, reaching over $150 billion in assets under management last year,” Sergio Ramirez, chief revenue officer, and head of the global client group, said.
