Santander UK Appoints New Chief Risk Officer

Halliday replaces Keiran Foad, who has been appointed as the deputy head of the risk division and deputy group CRO at Banco Santander.

The UK arm of Santander, Spain’s largest lender, has appointed Patricia Halliday as its chief risk officer.

Halliday joins Santander from GE Capital International Holdings, where she served as CRO. With almost thirty years of experience in the financial services industry, she previously held senior credit risk positions at Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and Société Generale.

In her role as CRO, Halliday will oversee the company’s risk function with responsibility for the management and control of all financial risks and the operational risk framework and reporting.

Halliday replaces Keiran Foad, who has been appointed as the deputy head of the risk division and deputy group CRO at Banco Santander.

“I am delighted to appoint Patricia as our new chief risk officer,” said Nathan Bostock, chief executive officer of Santander. “She brings extensive banking experience to this very important role. Patricia will continue to embed risk management across the business and ensure we protect our employees, shareholders and customers.”
