Saxo Names New UK Chief Executive

The new CEO has already worked for the firm between 2016 and 2018 as a member of Saxo's APAC leadership team and deputy head of sales trading in Singapore.

Copenhagen-headquartered Saxo has appointed Andrew Bresler as CEO of Saxo UK, effective 3 June. He will be taking the helm from interim CEO Simon Camilleri.

Bresler was a member of Saxo's APAC leadership team and deputy head of sales trading in Singapore from 2016 to 2018. During that time, while growing the bank’s client base in APAC, he gained a deep understanding of Saxo's products, platforms, and services, the firm said.

Following his tenure at Saxo, Bresler served as regional head of brokerage, portfolio finance and digital investments for Asia and EMEA at Citibank. Most recently, he has served in a range of leadership roles at InvestCloud where he helped increase regional growth and oversaw daily operations from Singapore across APAC, it said.

"He is not only a seasoned leader, but also a great team player with a deep understanding of our industry, products, platforms, and clients. The combined strengths of our leadership team, the employees in the UK and Andrew's capabilities, gives me great confidence in the future success for our UK business, where we have ambitious growth plans,” Stig Christensen, Saxo’s chief commercial officer, said

Saxo UK is a licensed subsidiary of Saxo, a fintech specialist that connects people to investment opportunities in global capital markets. Saxo UK has operated in London since 2006 and is a provider of multi-asset trading and investment.
