Schroders Personal Wealth Appoints Chief Client Officer

Schroders Personal Wealth – a JV with Lloyds Banking Group and Schroders, has made a number of appointments since it was formed in 2018.

Schroders Personal Wealth has appointed Ben Waterhouse as chief client officer.

Waterhouse will be joining from Barclays Wealth, where he has been managing director and head of distribution, leading all client-facing functions across the UK. Prior to this, he worked at Fidelity International in varying capacities, most recently as global head of intermediary distribution for the digital wealth business. He was also involved in the development of a B2B digital wealth partnership proposition.

In addition to his roles at Fidelity International, Waterhouse spent a decade working at Legal and General.

Waterhouse will join SPW in the second quarter of 2022 and report directly to Mark Duckworth, chief executive.

Schroders announced its joint venture with Lloyds Banking Group in 2018. The firm appointed Marcelo Rodrigues to lead its business development proposition, brand and marketing activities, and strategic partnerships in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Pamela Wilson and Steven Crothers joined as personal wealth advisors to establish a Northern Ireland presence for the firm. In July 2020 it hired the former CEO of Openwork, Mark Duckworth, to be chief executive, replacing Peter Hetherington who stepped down after having been in the role for eight months.
