July was a busy month for moves and appointments, with notable examples including UBS and Stonehage Fleming. The European side of the story was dominated by the C-suite exits at Coutts and NatWest following the "de-banking" controversy.
During July, the changes that grabbed most attention in Europe were the resignations of Alison Rose, CEO of NatWest Group, and Peter Flavel, CEO at Coutts (part of Natwest). They departed in the wake of the row about the way in which the bank and its parent handled the “de-banking” of former UKIP leader, and broadcaster, Nigel Farage. Flavel, joined as private banking head of the old Royal Bank of Scotland business (now NatWest) in 2016. He had previously worked at JP Morgan in Asia and Standard Chartered.
Indosuez Wealth Management in Switzerland appointed Bruno Morlain
as head of its global wealth structuring division. Morlain
reports to Michael Kofman, the head of structuring and financing
for the firm in Switzerland, and to Sophie Champenois, global
head of structuring and financing for the Indosuez group.
Starting his career over 20 years ago with BNP Paribas, working
in Paris, Luxembourg and Geneva, Morlain has worked with wealth
managers on legal and tax matters for European clients. In 2015,
he joined Credit Suisse, where he took over responsibility for
the wealth planning team for Northern Europe.
Rathbones Group named Jayne Rogers as executive chair and Tom
Carroll as CEO within its Rathbones Unit Trust Management arm.
She also took on the job of chief distribution officer, Rathbones
Group. Rogers spent four years at Morgan Stanley Investment
Management, and also worked at Robeco Asset Management, and KPMG
Investment Advisory, among other firms. Mike Webb, CEO of
RUTM and head of financial advisor distribution for the Rathbones
Group, is to retire at the end of 2023 after 14 years in the
role. Carroll joined Rathbones in March 2022 when he was
appointed chief investment officer of the funds
business.
Crestbridge Family Office Services appointed Karen Morris as
finance director in Jersey. Morris, who is a qualified chartered
accountant, has more than 25 years’ accounting experience, 15 of
which have been within the offshore financial services industry
in Jersey, primarily working on private client structures.
Close Brothers Asset Management (CBAM) appointed Nic Heath as
senior investment director. Based in Birmingham, Heath has more
than 20 years’ experience in investment management.
Ocorian, a specialist global provider of alternative fund
services and entity administration, corporate and fiduciary
services, appointed Eamon Burns as global head of fund
accounting. Burns has nearly 30 years’ experience in financial
markets and services. Previously Burns was EMEA head of private
markets accounting at BNY Mellon in Dublin and prior to that
worked for Goldman Sachs and Barings.
Natixis Investment Managers promoted Constance Clerc to head of
business enhancement. Based in Paris, she reports to Fabrice
Chemouny, Natixis IM head of international distribution. This is
a new role for the firm. Clerc, who joined Natixis IM in
September 2016, has worked in various capacities, most recently
as head of strategy and sales management for international
distribution.
JM Finn promoted Todd Babington to head of operations following
the retirement of Frank Reardon. Reardon had served as head of
operations for the company for 21 years, prior to his recent
retirement, the firm said in a statement. Babington, who assumed
the role on Frank’s retirement, has been with the firm for five
years. He initially joined as trade operations manager in
2018 following previous roles at Arbuthnot Latham and HSBC
Private Bank during his 17-year career.
JTC appointed Helena Storjohann as a director in its Geneva
office, within the private client services arm. The role is a new
one for the firm. Storjohann is responsible for a portfolio of
clients and trusts, while also helping to drive forward JTC’s
growth and business development strategy, the firm said in a
statement. She reports to private client services managing
director of Switzerland Julie Zingiloglu.
Storjohann, who has 25 years of experience working in the
European and cross-border private client sector, most recently
worked for Julius Baer as a wealth planner, focusing on the
Middle East.
Stonehage Fleming made a number of promotions across its
Jersey and Isle of Man offices.
In the Jersey family office division, Bev Stewart was promoted to
partner. Stewart has more than 19 years’ investment banking and
financial services experience and works with a number of
Stonehage Fleming’s international high net worth clients. She
joined the group as a director in 2020 from Absa Bank Limited in
South Africa.
Also, in the Jersey FO division Leigh Driscoll and Monika Osiak
Faria were promoted to associate director, and Larni Sobere to
senior associate.
In the Jersey group corporate, legal and tax advisory division,
Leanne Stuart was promoted to associate director.
In the Isle of Man FO division, Samantha Andrews, Keri Breadner
and Tessa Burrows were promoted to associate director.
Stonehage Fleming also made recent risk and compliance
appointments in its Channel Islands offices. Candice Price
was appointed as the new head of risk and compliance in Guernsey.
She has over 31 years’ experience in risk and compliance, working
in Guernsey, the UK, South Africa, Switzerland and
Mauritius.
Paul Le Bihan, a director in the risk and compliance team, was
promoted to head of risk and compliance in Jersey. He is a
chartered accountant, with 20 years’ experience in the Jersey
financial services sector. Before joining the group in 2016, he
acted as CO, MLCO and MLRO for Autonomy Capital in Jersey. Le
Bihan took over the JFSC registrations for the other Jersey
business lines, and management of the Jersey risk and compliance
team, from Hamish Ramsay. Ramsay joined the Group in 2017 and has
35 years’ broad experience in international finance.
SG Kleinwort Hambros launched a new client lifecycle team, led by
Was Chaudry who was recently appointed head of the
team. Chaudry, who leads a team of 20, reports to Kay Lee,
head of business management office at SGKH. Prior to joining
SGKH, Chaudry was head of onboarding at Credit Suisse Private
Bank, where he spearheaded various improvements to digitise and
improve onboarding.
Coutts appointed Laura Kingman in the newly-created role of head
of financial planning. She joined from Nutmeg as executive
director of wealth services. Kingman has also worked at Fidelity
and JP Morgan.
Credit Suisse said Daniel Hunziker, who is head of its
institutional clients' business and member of the executive board
of Credit Suisse (Switzerland), became leader of the corporate
clients business, adding to his previous role. Andreas Gerber,
head of corporate banking and member of the executive board of
Credit Suisse (Switzerland), left the bank. Gerber had been
at Credit Suisse and Schweizerische Volksbank for 34 years.
Hunziker has been at Credit Suisse since 2002. Amongst his
previous roles, he was head of the Zurich region and head of
strategy in the former universal Swiss bank division, before
taking over running the institutional clients business in 2020.
Hunziker has also been president of the Zurich Banking
Association since 2019.
France-based Groupe BPCE, which provides wealth and asset
management via its Natixis Investment Managers firm, appointed
Nathalie Bricker as group head of finance and strategy at Natixis
IM, having previously been chief financial officer for Group
BPCE’s global businesses. She reports to Tim Ryan, CEO at Natixis
Investment Managers and head of asset and wealth management for
Groupe BPCE.
In the second move, Stéphane Morin was appointed chief financial
officer at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking. He reports to
Stéphanie Paix, CEO of Groupe BPCE’s global businesses.
The partners of law firm Druces elected to appoint a CEO to
manage the firm; the first such role in nearly a decade. Edward
Gordon-Hall, previously Druces’ finance director, who sat on the
executive committee until October 2020, returned as CEO. He has
more than 30 years’ experience advising and working with
professional services firms, particularly in the legal sector,
including firms such as Lewis Silkin and Olswang.
Aviva Investors appointed Jill Barber as global head of
distribution. Barber succeeded Louise Kay, who decided to retire
at the end of this year after three decades in the investment
industry.
Gresham House appointed Claire Glennon as head of UK
institutional sales, and Alastair Leather as director of
institutional business to work alongside Heather Fleming,
managing director of institutional business. Glenning joined from
Schroders where she was most recently UK head of
sustainability.
Evelyn Partners appointed Callum Ogden as a financial planner in
its Birmingham office to expand the team. Ogden, who has worked
in the financial planning profession since 2017, most
recently was a personal wealth advisor at Schroders Personal
Wealth.
Squircle Capital, an established pan-European private equity
firm, appointed Delfin Rueda as managing director of finance.
Rueda, who joined Squircle Capital’s team of 32 professionals
across Luxembourg, Milan and Barcelona, has more than 30 years of
working in major financial institutions.
Hawksmoor Investment Management appointed Catherine Routh as
chief operating officer. Routh joined the Exeter-based company
from international tax and wealth management practice Blevins
Franks.
UBS announced a number of leadership roles. It appointed Patrick
Grob as head of global wealth management unified global markets.
The global markets team also includes Brent Johnson (head of
execution services), Dushyant Chadha (head of derivatives and
solutions), Natalie Horton (head of financing), Chris Purves
(head of digital platforms), and David Innerdale (head of global
markets risk and trading). In Asia-Pacific, Thomas de Garidel and
Tim Wannenmacher are co-heads of Global Markets APAC, and in
Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Paolo Croce has the
leadership role.
On the Credit Suisse side, Olivier Charhon was appointed
operating officer for risk and resource management at the UBS
investment bank. Neil Hosie, who used to be global equities head
at Credit Suisse, became co-head of global markets distribution.
UBS named Ken Chen general manager of UBS Securities and head of
its global markets department. It also appointed Neil Hosie as
co-head of global markets distribution, focusing mainly on
advisory, research and platform monetisation.
Vontobel, the Swiss wealth manager, announced that Markus
Pfister, who is head of structured solutions and treasury
(SS&T), was to take the COO helm from Felix Lenhard,
effective 1 January 2024. With more than 30 years of industry
experience, Pfister joined Vontobel in 2004 as head of financial
products engineering and development.
EFG International appointed Christian Berchem, previously at
Credit Suisse, as the new head of the UK Region and CEO of EFG
Private Bank London, subject to regulatory approval. Berchem
reports to Giorgio Pradelli, CEO of EFG International, in
addition to the board of EFG Private Bank London. He
succeeded Richard Thomas, who decided to step down from his
role at EFG after more than four years in the post to pursue
other opportunities. At Credit Suisse, Berchem served as CEO of
Credit Suisse (UK), its UK private banking business, until
recently. Before joining Credit Suisse in 2017, he served in
various senior roles at Barclays, including head of the private
bank for London.
ZEDRA, a global provider of corporate and global expansion,
active wealth, pension and incentive services, and fund
solutions, appointed Mark McKeary as commercial director to
support its global fund solutions team. He reports to Wim Ritz,
global head of funds. He is based in London. Prior to joining
ZEDRA, McKeary held senior positions including the role of
commercial director with several leading fund administration
players.
Evelyn Partners appointed Will Thompson as a financial planning
director in its Bristol office. Thompson was previously at
Rathbones where he spent the past three and a half years as a
senior financial planner.
Saffery Champness made five promotions in Guernsey, including the
appointment of a trust transformation manager. The promotions,
which also include senior trust officer and trust
officer. Under the move, Joe Cardoso-Smale, who has been
with the private client firm for 15 years, was promoted to the
newly-formed trust transformation manager role. Saffery also
promoted Alex Burt and Joe Wright to senior trust officer and
Laura Bean and Hugo Russell to trust officer.
Old Mill appointed Adil Taha as its new chief operating officer.
Taha works with chief executive Kevin Whitmarsh. Taha has worked
in fields including private equity, legal and investment
banking.
Brooks Macdonald promoted Matthew Wintour to head of
international distribution. The role is a new one for the
firm. Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald International eight years
ago, Wintour held senior positions spanning both wealth
management and private client stockbroking.
Ocorian appointed Christoph Schwarz as business development
director, capital markets. Based in London, Schwarz has more than
20 years’ experience in financial services working for major
banks, insurance companies and financial advisory boutiques
including Wachovia, Lehman Brothers, HSH Nordbank, Genworth and
StormHarbour Securities. Prior to joining Ocorian, he was a
principal in BNY Mellon’s Corporate Trust team.
Nucleus Financial Platforms, the UK advisor platform group,
appointed Laura Green in the newly-created role of commercial
delivery director. She reports to chief commercial officer Alex
Kovach. Green has more than 17 years’ experience in financial
services.
The UK government appointed senior police and legal figure Nick
Ephgrave as the new director of the Serious Fraud Office, an
organisation hit by a series of missteps in recent years.
Ephgrave replaced the departing director, Lisa Osofsky. Most
recently, Ephgrave chaired the National Police Chiefs’ Council
Criminal Justice Co-ordination Committee and sat on the Criminal
Procedure Rules Committee and the Sentencing Council. Between
February 2019 and September 2022, he was assistant commissioner
of the Metropolitan Police Service and, before this, he was the
chief constable for Surrey Police between December 2015 and
February 2019.
M&G appointed Caroline Connellan as the chief executive
officer of M&G Wealth, subject to regulatory approval. She
reports to group chief executive officer, Andrea Rossi. With more
than 25 years of experience in retail financial services,
Connellan has a track record of transforming and growing wealth
management businesses. Most recently, she was CEO of abrdn
personal wealth, and CEO and executive director of wealth manager
Brooks Macdonald Group.
Banque Havilland (Liechtenstein) unveiled a new Swiss leadership
team. Andreas Rösch led the branch as head of private
banking. He has worked in leadership roles at firms including
UBS, Barclays, Schroder Bank and HSBC. Mara Seiwerth is
responsible for legal, compliance and risk roles. She is a lawyer
educated in Germany. Before joining Banque Havilland Seiwerth was
head of compliance at Bank Von Roll in Zurich, among other
positions. Thomas Raphael is in charge of finance and operations
at the Swiss branch. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and has a
master's degree in finance from the University of St Gallen.
During the last 15 years, he has worked for PwC, UBS, Julius Baer
and BIL Suisse. Daniel Bischof rounded out the team of
which he has been a member since January 2023. He has worked
in banks such as BIL, BNP Paribas (Switzerland) and others.
BRI Wealth Management appointed Laura Ripley as a chartered
financial planner. Ripley joined the team led by Andy
Gillett, head of wealth management advice.
Rothschild & Co appointed Matthew James as a managing director
and head of marketing and business development in its UK Wealth
Management business. The role is newly created.
Collyer Bristow promoted Charles Avens and Charlie Fowler to
partner. Fowler, who joined the firm in 2022 as head of
immigration, is continuing in this position alongside
being a partner.
Asia-Pacific
LH Koh, who co-headed global family and institutional wealth
(GFIW) for Asia-Pacific at UBS, became head of the team at the
firm. Koh, who joined the Swiss bank in 2010, has been in a
leadership position in the global family office business in Asia
since 2020. LH Koh, a Singaporean, is a wealth management
industry veteran with more than 20 years’ experience in
investment banking and wealth management, focusing on Greater
China and Southeast Asia markets.
Tommy Leung, also a co-head, decided to pursue an opportunity outside the firm after more than 20 years with UBS.
BlackRock appointed Mandy Lui to the new role of head of Greater China wealth. It also appointed Dennis Quah as head of Singapore wealth. Lui is responsible for developing relationships with distributors throughout Hong Kong, Taiwan and offshore China. She is based in Hong Kong. Prior to this, Lui served as head of wealth/retail distribution for Greater China and Southeast Asia for Baring Asset Management.
Quah works with consumer banks, private banks and insurers. He has two decades of asset management distribution and product development experience throughout Asian markets, having worked for Columbia Threadneedle, Amundi, OCBC Bank and Schroders.
Union Bancaire Privée, the Geneva-based bank, appointed Linda Lam as head of equity advisory for North Asia. Based in Hong Kong, Lam reports to Andy Lee, head of investment services, North Asia. Before this role, Lam was an equity specialist at HSBC Global Private Banking Hong Kong, focused on providing equity advisory for Greater China ultra-high net worth offshore wealth clients. She joined HSBC in 2017.
Farro Capital, the Singapore-based wealth platform and multi-family office, added new senior figures to its team.
It appointed experienced bank industry figure Manoj Samtani as executive director. He reports to CEO and Farro co-founder Hemant Tucker. Samtani has 21 years of international private banking and fund management experience with firms such as Bank of Singapore, EFG Bank AG, and Kotak Mahindra UK Ltd.
Farro also hired Zakiah Sulaiman as director of compliance and Ivy Chen as director of client relations. Sulaiman has more than two decades of experience in operations, compliance and risk management in the financial services industry. Prior to this, she worked with UBP and Bank of Singapore before joining Farro Capital.
France-based Groupe BPCE, which provides wealth and asset management via its Natixis Investment Managers firm, appointed Nathalie Bricker as group head of finance and strategy at Natixis IM, having previously been chief financial officer for Group BPCE’s global businesses. She reports to Tim Ryan, CEO at Natixis Investment Managers and head of asset and wealth management for Groupe BPCE.
Stéphane Morin was appointed chief financial officer at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking. He reports to Stéphanie Paix, CEO of Groupe BPCE’s global businesses.
Jupiter, the UK-based asset management group with $62.7 billion at the end of March, appointed Cody Law as sales director for Hong Kong. Reporting to Karen Cheng, head of sales, North Asia, Cody works on relationships with retail banks in Hong Kong and supporting sales' growth and distribution networks across North Asia. Prior to joining Jupiter, he was director, financial intermediaries at Janus Henderson Investors. He has also worked for Citibank and HSBC.
Switzerland-based Partners Group appointed Toby Mannock as private equity head for Australia. Based Sydney, Mannock leads the firm’s private equity business in Australia. Before this, Mannock worked at ANZ, where he was a managing director in the investment banking division.
UBS named Dominique Boer as head of GWM private client and CSS Singapore; it also appointed Keng Cheong Lock as head of global wealth management for the Greater China Singapore business. UBS has appointed Rickie Chan as head of GWM Greater China Hong Kong.
In India and Australia, UBS announced that Michael Marr was the bank’s new head of GWM Australia.
For India, UBS appointed Puneet Matta as wealth management head for the country.

WRISE Group, a Singapore-based wealth management business, named CEOs for operations in Hong Kong and Singapore. Kevin Teng was named CEO of WRISE WM Singapore. Teng has more than 20 years of experience in the wealth management industry. He took over CEO responsibilities from Derrick Tan, chairman of WRISE Group, who focuses on the strategic initiatives, growth and leadership of the group’s businesses. The firm also named Joel Tan and Megan Zhang as co-chief executives of WRISE WM Hong Kong.
Standard Chartered Wealth Management HK recently made two
appointments. Sabina Chiang was named head, managed investments,
wealth management, to oversee the managed investments business
across retail, business and private banking in Hong Kong. Chiang,
who reports to Alson Ho, head, wealth management, Hong Kong, was
formerly head of managed investments, Private Bank Hong Kong.
Adam Ng, who was appointed as head of managed investments,
Private Bank Hong Kong, continues to report to Chiang. Prior to
Standard Chartered, he worked at HSBC Private Banking, where he
was an alternative investment specialist advising various
alternative solutions to private banking clients. Before that, Ng
held various positions in DLJ Real Estate Capital Partners and
Deutsche Bank.
Union Bancaire Privée made seven new senior hires at its Singapore branch.
In the latest move, Jennie Hananto joined as market head for Southeast Asia. Prior to joining UBP, Hananto led a Southeast Asia team at EFG Private Bank and served as the vice chair of Southeast Asia at Bank J Safra Sarasin.
Yi Mun Tse took up the market head role for Greater China, bringing her experience in managing clients and bankers in the region. Before joining UBP, Tse served as market head of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management, Greater China, and held a similar position at HSBC Private Banking.
Donniel Low was appointed as team head for Southeast Asia. Before joining UBP, Low worked as an investor in startups building on his years spent at UOB Private Banking where he was team head and UHNW senior client advisor.
UBP welcomed four senior relationship managers: Lim Kean Choon,
Valerie Tan, Zen Cheng and Whilton Leo.
North America
Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group has appointed Alla Whitston as chief information officer for the Americas and Matt Abrusci as general counsel for the Americas.
Whitston is responsible for all IT strategy, infrastructure, architecture, and technology systems for all corporate and business functions within the company. As general counsel, Abrusci is responsible for the overall management of legal affairs and board of directors' administration related to MUFG's combined operations in the Americas.
Most recently, Whitston served as the chief information officer for Silicon Valley Bank/First-Citizens Bank. Abrusci served as the global head of the capital markets law group of the Royal Bank of Canada.
Deloitte, one of the “Big Four” accounting firms, appointed Mike Wade as national sector leader in the US for banking and capital markets. Wade succeeded Deron Weston, who continued to serve as Deloitte's US financial services industry consulting leader.
Dynasty Financial Partners named Ron Insana, a prominent broadcast journalist and commentator, to the new role of chief market strategist. Rated as one of the “Top 100 Business News Journalists of the 20th Century,” Insana is known for his high-profile interviews with figures such as President Bill Clinton and President George Bush, billionaire investors including Warren Buffett and George Soros, captains of industry such as Bill Gates and Jack Welch, as well as economists, analysts, and influencers. Insana was praised for his coverage of the market crash of 1987 and one of the first eyewitness accounts of the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on 9/11. He has also worked as an asset manager.
Steward Partners Global Advisory welcomed Vantage Point Private Wealth, a business led by wealth managers Mark Morasky, Erik Clay, and Chris Figaro. Morasky, who has been a financial advisor since 1996, is a 1988 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and earned a Bronze Star in Desert Storm as a Military Intelligence Officer. He holds an MBA from Western Michigan University.
Clay holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) and Chartered
Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designations awarded by
the College for Financial Planning. He spent eight years as a
professional equity trader prior to joining Merrill Lynch Wealth
Management in 2011. Figaro joined Merrill Lynch Wealth Management
where he was a vice president and senior financial advisor in
2014 after spending six years as an options and equity trader in
New York City.
JP Morgan Private Bank launched its US Family Office Practice. It
will be led by William Sinclair, a 17-year veteran of JP Morgan
and a member of the US private bank operating committee. Sinclair
is also head of the private bank’s financial institutions
group.
Manhattan West, a Los Angeles-based wealth management and alternative investments firm, added two senior advisors to its team: Orin Winick as managing director and financial advisor, alongside Nicholas Wolf, CFP®, who is executive director and financial advisor. With expertise in private lending, Winick has decades of experience and extensive industry relationships. Prior to his new role, he held leadership positions at Aspiriant, Barclays, and Merrill Lynch. Wolf, who has more than a decade of experience in giving advice, specializes in areas including retirement planning, insurance, commercial lending, tax planning, and mortgage lending. Most recently, Wolf was vice president, relationship manager at Key Private Bank.
New York-listed Citizens Financial Group named Susan de Tray as the head of its Citizens Private Bank unit. She previously served as senior vice president, deputy chief credit officer and head of credit administration for First Republic Bank. She is based in San Francisco.
Miracle Mile Advisors, a registered investment advisor, appointed Nate Angelo as the firm's head of wealth management. Prior to this role, Angelo served in senior leadership roles at RBC Wealth Management.
Fiduciary Trust International, a subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, appointed Scott Small as a trust counsel based in its Radnor office. Most recently, Small was a senior vice president of estate services, and senior regional fiduciary manager for the US East and North areas, at Wells Fargo Wealth and Investment Management.
Fiducient Advisors appointed former senior London Stock Exchange Group figure Sabrina Bailey as its CEO. Bailey most recently served as LSEG’s global head of investment and wealth solutions. She succeeded Bob DiMeo, the firm’s founder, who became chairman and remained actively engaged in the business.
Law firm McGuireWoods appointed New York partner Helen Gavaris to add to its fiduciary litigation capabilities. Gavaris has over three decades of experience representing corporate fiduciaries and high net worth individuals in complex disputes. Before this role, she worked at Loeb & Loeb.
Ameriprise Financial said that financial advisor Amanda Hale moved her $250-million practice to the firm from PNC Investments in Port Arthur, Texas. Hale joined Third Coast Advisors, a financial advisory practice within the Ameriprise Financial Institutions Group (AFIG), which provides advice and investment services to Third Coast Bank branches across Southeast Texas.
TRUE Cresset | Sports + Entertainment (aka "TRUE Cresset") – the US business created from a merger in May – appointed former sports figures Brandon Williams as director, wealth advisor; and Jon Marc Carrier as associate director, WA. Williams brings more than 13 years’ experience leading operations and relationship management activities within the sports industry. Prior to joining TRUE Cresset, he served as president of operations at TBH Sports, where he implemented specialized client services and reinvented the execution of operational tactics for athlete development.
Carrier began his career at the NFL headquarters in the Football Operations department, focusing on serving retired players in the NFL Legends Community. Later, he moved to the Player Marketing space, where he worked on player branding projects, such as the NFL 100 Super Bowl commercial and other tent-pole events, including the NFL Draft, Pro Bowl, as well as the International Series games. In 2019, he was promoted to the Player Engagement department.
Columbia Trust Company, a subsidiary of Nasdaq-listed Columbia Banking System, appointed Rob Pitois as senior vice president and regional trust manager for California and Nevada. Pitois reports to Rob Howell, president and director of investments at Columbia Trust Company. Prior to this, Pitois led a team of Umpqua Private Bank advisors and bankers, serving high net worth families, business owners, family offices, and select non-profit organizations.
BNY Mellon Wealth Management appointed David Santos as a wealth manager. Boston-based Santos reports to Christine Abramo, regional director of portfolio management, New England. Santos has more than three decades in the financial services industry. Santos joined from Northern Trust where he spent 18 years, most recently as a senior VP and regional portfolio advisor.
Argent Trust Company, a subsidiary of Argent Financial Group, appointed Caroline Forks as trust counsel. She reports directly to Brooks Campany, Oxford regional manager. Before joining Argent, Forks served as vice president and trust advisor at Regions Bank in private wealth management.
Lido Advisors, headquartered in Los Angeles, appointed Jordan Greenhouse as chief growth officer. Greenhouse brought over 25 years of business experience, most recently working with Kayne Anderson Rudnick, the investment firm, as managing director of its institutional and retail divisions.
Ameriprise Financial added a group of advisors collectively overseeing more than $400 million of client money to its independent channel. Albert Stanton, joined from Cetera Advisors with $125 million in client assets in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Kevin Frontone, joined from Edward Jones with $107 million in client assets in Springfield, Illinois. Separately, Kent Hunter joined from Edward Jones with $172 million in client assets in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Steward Partners Global Advisory, the US employee-owned firm, named long-serving Merrill Lynch figure Paul Sullivan as partner and managing director, head of internal sourcing. With 37 years of financial services experience, from 2021 to 2023 he was regional managing director (East Coast) with Sanctuary Wealth. He began his career with Merrill Lynch in 1986 as a client associate at the SD Financial Center in New York and rose through Merrill's ranks in a variety of posts.
Jacmel Growth Partners, a minority-owned, US private investment firm, appointed Jorge Mora who joined as co-managing partner. Mora is a veteran of the financial services and private equity industry. Mora has three decades of experience in private equity and corporate advisory.
Global business advisory firm EisnerAmper appointed industry veteran Chris Brodersen as managing director in its business advisory group. Brodersen is based at the firm’s Iselin, New Jersey office. Prior to this, Brodersen served as a blockchain lab leader at a “Big 4” accounting firm.
Raymond James welcomed financial advisor Rebekah Fa'asau to the firm’s employee advisor channel in Boise, Idaho. Fa'asau arrived from Merrill Lynch, where she managed more than $185 million in client assets; she was joined by client service associates Ali McCormack and Payton Thomas. Fa'asau became an advisor in 2007.
SS&C Technologies appointed Brian Schell as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He reports to Bill Stone, the chairman and CEO. Schell joined SS&C from Cboe Global Markets, where he was executive VP, chief financial officer and treasury.
Cetera Financial Group, the financial advisor wealth hub in the US, said that Chuck D'Amico has joined the Cetera Investors branch in Tampa, Florida. D'Amico, a financial services veteran and longtime financial advisor, has joined from Mass Mutual.
