Summary Of Global Wealth Management Senior Moves – September 2024

As is usual after the August vacation season, the pace of moves and appointments increased in September in the UK, continental Europe, the Middle East and various jurisdictions in the broader EMEA region.

Andy Mielczarek stepped down as CEO of UK challenger bank Chetwood Financial almost 10 years on from having co-founded the company. Paul Noble, who was formerly the CEO of JN Bank UK, replaced him. 

Joe Sullivan-Bissett joined M&G Investments fixed Income division as an investment director, reporting to David Parsons, head of the fixed income specialist team. He joined M&G from Amundi, where he was an investment specialist within the firm’s global fixed income team, covering a range of credit strategies. 

7IM bolstered its investment management team and hired Asim Qadri and Brian Leitao. Qadri and Leitao joined as investment managers, reporting to Uwe Ketelsen, head of portfolio management. With a decade of experience in the sector, Qadri spent the last three years in abrdn’s multi-asset team. Before then, he worked in similar roles at Architas, Mercer, and Société Générale. Leitao has eight years of investment experience gathered at Fundhouse, EQ Investors, Morningstar and most recently Mercer. 

Schroders made Meagen Burnett chief financial officer; she succeeded Richard Oldfield, who was named group chief executive. 

City law firm Wedlake Bell appointed Alex Davies to head up the firm's family team. Davies worked for 12 years at Cripps where he headed up its family team.

London-based investment manager Marylebone Partners, the manager of Cayman-domiciled Marylebone Lane Fund, and London-listed Majedie Investments, appointed David Cornell as managing director. Previously, Cornell was a co-founder of Ocean Dial Asset Management.

Lombard Odier appointed Chris Bonello as head of the UK and Northern Europe desk in Zurich. Bonello replaced Fabian Rauber who left the bank earlier this year. He reports to Duncan MacIntyre, limited partner and UK region head at Lombard Odier Private Bank. He was most recently desk head UK & Nordics International of ultra-high net worth individuals, markets he will continue to cover in his new role at Lombard Odier.

ABN AMRO named Serena Fioravanti as chief risk officer from 1 October for a four-year term. Fioravanti’s appointment – initially announced on 7 August – was subject to regulatory clearance and discussion with the bank’s shareholders and depository receipt holders. Both conditions were met. She has almost 25 years of experience in the banking sector, with a focus on risk management, treasury, liquidity risk management, corporate finance, project management and audit.

Candriam, a fund manager, said Nicolas Jullien would be succeeding Philippe Noyard as global head of fixed income, taking up the role from 1 January 2025. He has been with Candriam for 17 years. 

Premier Miton hired Nicola Stronach as its new chief operating officer. Stronach, who joined the firm in early September, covers the overall management of Premier Miton’s risk, operations, compliance and legal teams, as well as relations with regulators and third-party strategic relationships. 

Axyon AI, a fintech provider of AI to the asset management industry in Europe, appointed Nicholas “Nick” Greenland as senior vice president, business development. He is based in the UK. Greenland has held senior global positions at BNY Investments, Credit Suisse and RBS. 

UK law firm Collyer Bristow was promoted Aidan Grant to partner in the tax and estate planning team in the private wealth department. Grant joined the firm in 2016. 

Law firm Mishcon de Reya appointed Steven Haywood, a partner specialising in investment funds.

Deutsche Bank appointed former UBS and Credit Suisse senior figure Raffael Gasser head of wealth management and private banking for Germany. The previous head of private banking in Germany, Lars Stoy, left in September to become ING’s new CEO for Germany. Gasser reports to Claudio de Sanctis, who is the Deutsche Bank management board member responsible for the private bank. At UBS, Gasser led the Northern European business with wealthy clients.

CFA UK said its chief executive Will Goodhart would be stepping down in early 2025, ending an 18-year tenure.

ARC Research appointed former Credit Suisse and Odey Wealth Management figure Shaun Le Messurier as client director. Le Messurier has a career spanning over 30 years. Starting at Credit Suisse in Guernsey in 1988, Le Messurier left the Swiss bank in 2008 to launch Guernsey-based Odey Wealth Management, where he was initially responsible for constructing and monitoring a range of risk-rated model portfolios before becoming its risk officer in 2016. 

Verso Investment Management appointed Will Vaughan as client director. Prior to this, Vaughan worked at Brown Shipley as client advisor. 

The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry appointed Corinne Lamesch as deputy CEO and general counsel. With more than 25 years’ experience in the Luxembourg fund industry, Lamesch worked with firms including Fidelity International and Clifford Chance. 

m.advisory appointed Ian Gobin to join its legal practice in the Cayman Islands. Gobin, who has been a lawyer for over 25 years, acts as a strategic and legal advisor in the investment funds and digital assets markets. He has worked in London, the Channel Islands and the Cayman Islands.

Financial services group GSB hired Paul Waterman and Craig Holding to join its GSB Wealth division based in Dubai. Waterman, named a partner of GSB Wealth, joined from Skybound Wealth Management, where he was a chartered wealth manager. He also held prominent positions at Royal Bank of Scotland in its commercial, retail, and wealth management divisions. Holding joined as a partner of GSB Wealth from financial advice firm Abacus Financial Consultants in Dubai, where he was also a partner. 

GSB also hired Joseph Jawad as a senior partner of GSB Private, based in the company’s Dubai office. Prior to this, Jawad worked for UK-headquartered Schroders as a client relationship director, based in Switzerland. Before Schroders, Jawad worked at Arbuthnot Latham, HSBC and Standard Bank Group. 

Julius Baer appointed ex-UBS banker Reto Buerer in the newly-formed role of team head for Asia Switzerland at the Zurich-listed private bank. Buerer, who is based in Zurich, reports to Christian Cappelli, head of Asia Switzerland business. Previously, he worked at UBS where he headed Southeast Asia coverage for Credit Suisse from Switzerland. 

Rothschild & Co’s UK wealth management business appointed former James Hambro & Partners senior figure Daniela Jaume as director of strategic relationships. Jaume, who joined James Hambro & Partners in 2018, was previously business development director.  

LGT Wealth India, part of Liechtenstein’s LGT, appointed Poonam Mirchandani as managing director for the wealth planning and family solutions division. Mirchandani is based in Mumbai. Prior to this, Mirchandani served in senior roles at Barclays Private Bank for more than 13 years. She also worked at Vistra ITCL India.

Private markets investment house Pantheon appointed Arnab Mazumdar as partner and chief data and innovation officer, along with two new managing directors, Christian D’Amico and Brian Hanson. Mazumdar previously worked for 16 years at BlackRock, where he held leadership positions, including chief digital officer for BlackRock Private Markets and the role of co-founder and COO of the multi-asset solutions group. D’Amico serves as head of German Speaking Europe. Hanson is MD in the firm’s US private wealth division.

Family law firm Hughes Fowler Carruthers  appointed lawyer Lauren Deane to join the partnership. 

Natixis Investment Managers appointed Cecile Mariani as head of global financial institutions and global consultants – international. Based in London, she reports to Fabrice Chemouny, head of international distribution for Natixis IM. Previously, Mariani served as a vice president of group, head of EMEA and APAC GFI (global financial intermediaries) at T Rowe Price. 

BNP Paribas Asset Management appointed Carmine De Franco, PhD as head of the quant equity portfolio management team. Based in Paris, Carmine reports to Olivier Laplénie, head of quant portfolio management. Previously, De Franco spent 12 years in various positions at Ossiam.

Hawksmoor Investment Management appointed Dan Ellis as head of investment management. Ellis was previously director of investment management services at Charles Stanley; Ellis worked at RBC Wealth Management and HSBC Private Bank.

JTC, a global provider of professional services, made four senior hires in its Guernsey office: James Clifford, senior director – fund service; Brett Bewey, director – risk and compliance; Rene Engelbrecht, senior manager – investor relations; and Rebecca Lee, senior manager – private client services. 

Progeny, the UK-based firm, appointed Andrew Priestley to the new role of head of client value proposition; Priestley spent more than three decades in the retail financial advice industry. Previously, he worked for three years at Tenet, most recently as head of that firm’s mortgage solutions group.

Amundi appointed Philippe d’Orgeval as deputy group chief investment officer. He has been at the firm since December 2020.

The Openwork Partnership, a UK financial services network, appointed Sasha Dabliz as marketing and communications director. Dabliz joined from Waverton Investment Management. 

Brown Shipley Brown Shipley, a Quintet Private Bank, appointed Matthew Noyce as client advisor in London. Noyce has two decades of experience advising high net worth individuals, primarily in the South of England. Noyce most recently served at UBS for six years.

Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in the UK and Crown Dependencies appointed Kathryn Sargent as a business development director within its IFA sales team.

Schroders appointed its chief financial officer, Richard Oldfield, to the CEO slot, succeeding Peter Harrison. Before becoming CFO in October 2023, Oldfield worked for three decades at PricewaterhouseCoopers, in roles such as network vice chairman and global markets leader.

Investment partnership J Stern & Co appointed Som Bhattacharya, Thomas Steffen, and Steve Butler as senior client directors. Bhattacharya has concentrated on emerging market debt throughout his 19-year career with Fidelity, Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan Asset Management and Bluebay. Steffen has more than 35 years’ experience in the Swiss market, working with Citigroup, Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and a Swiss single-family office. He is based in the firm’s Zürich office. Butler, based in the New York office, is responsible for business development and client service in North America. He brings more than 30 years’ experience with institutional investors, having worked in sales, consultant relations, and client service roles at AllianceBernstein, Aravt Global, Artisan Partners, and First Eagle Investments. 

IQ-EQ, a firm offering global investor services, appointed Joe Ives as commercial director for the UAE. Ives, who started his career in the UK police service, became an expert in financial and corporate services across the Middle East.

Ogier, an offshore firm, appointed Rachel Cropper-Mawer as partner and global head of regulatory. He is based in Jersey. 

Investment manager abrdn made internal promotions in its fixed income team, as Craig MacDonald, global head of fixed income, left after 22 years with the firm to pursue academic studies.

Jonathan Mondillo, who oversaw public and private fixed income teams in the region, stepped up from his role as head of US fixed income to become global head of fixed income. Marianne Zangerl, who has a background in private credit, was made head of ESG, fixed income. Felix Freund, head of European credit, took on an expanded role as head of developed market credit. 

London law firm Farrer & Co appointed Jehad Mustafa as a partner in the firm’s disputes resolution practice, as it continues to grow its business. Mustafa joined from Volterra Fietta, where his national and international dispute resolution practice spanned areas including state and diplomatic immunity, investor-state arbitration and state-to-state disputes.

Arbuthnot Latham appointed Sean Taylor to the wealth management team as director in the intermediary sales area. Before this, Taylor worked at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in its discretionary portfolio management services area.

Rathbones added three senior hires to its Cambridge office: Pam Beith, Isobel Gingell, and Sam Garrad.

abrdn Adviser appointed Louise Williams as chief financial officer, starting in January 2025. She will be replacing Gordon Mitchell and is based in London. Williams was group finance director at Quilter, in a career spanning asset and wealth management, including a decade at New York-headquartered BNY.

UK law firm Irwin Mitchell appointed partner and specialist litigator Cara Hough to join its Bristol office. Hough was formerly at IDR Law. 

Ocorian, a specialist in trust, fund administration, fiduciary and corporate services, recruited Jeanette Rooms as its new chief people officer. She joined Ocorian’s executive committee. Prior to this, Rooms was at Kingmakers, a sports and digital entertainment platform, where she was group head of human resources. 

London-based Man Group, a global alternative investment management firm, appointed Lee Matthews as managing director, head of retail sales for the UK. Matthews replaced Richard Phillips, who retired after 27 years with the firm.

Paradigm Norton, a UK-based financial planning firm, appointed Philippa Hann as the new CEO. The appointment – effective next April – is subject to regulatory approval. 

Stonehage Fleming appointed Priyanka Hindocha as head of the UK family office. Hindocha joined Stonehage Fleming’s UK family office team as a senior associate in 2019, having previously spent five years in the private client services team at Deloitte. She was appointed director at Stonehage Fleming in 2021.

Succession Wealth appointed Graham Nicoll as director of wealth. Nicholl, who reports to Roger Marsden, Succession Wealth CEO, has managed all elements of wealth management and digital investing distribution across Barclays UK. 

Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management UK appointed Tom Lane as its chief commercial officer. He joined from RBC Brewin Dolphin where he worked for nearly five years leading business and technology transformations, including the integration of the RBC Brewin Dolphin and the RBC UK Wealth Management businesses.

Stuart Dowding joined international funds, private client and corporate services provider, the Oak Group, as group head of private client, based in Guernsey. He has worked for more than 30 years’ experience in the private wealth sphere.

London-based law firm Fladgate appointed Rebecca Cockcroft as partner in its family law team. She joined after a decade at Payne Hicks Beach, where she was head of family law from 2019 to 2024.

London and Edinburgh headquartered tech-driven wealth and investment management firm Seven Investment Management (7IM)] appointed Elizabeth (Libby) Chambers as independent non-executive director (INED). Chambers has more than three decades of executive and board-level experience. 

Northwest based IFA Markland Hill Wealth added to its team: Walter Simpson, Nick Cronin and Ian Massey. Simpson joined from HCI Financial Services in Hawarden.

Lombard Odier appointed Frédéric Praz as head of private client activities for the French, Belgium and Luxembourg region. Praz reports to Frédéric Rochat, managing partner and co-head of the private clients activity. 

With over 30 years of experience in the banking sector, Praz had been the head of the Swiss international market at Lombard Odier since 2017. Prior to this, he held a variety of positions at UBS, where he began his career in 1992. 

Rathbones Group appointed Simonetta Rigo as chief client officer, subject to regulatory approval. In this executive-level role, Rigo leads client and advisor proposition development, marketing and client experience. The post was left open after Anne-Marie McConnon, who had been appointed as global chief client officer, died suddenly in May last year. Rigo joined from UK wealth manager Evelyn Partners where she had been group chief marketing officer since 2020; she left earlier this year.

Evelyn Partners appointed Rachel Bleakley as an associate director in its Birmingham financial planning team. Before this, Bleakley was a wealth planner at Succession Wealth. 

C Hoare & Co appointed Oliver Dean as a senior relationship manager. Dean, who is based in Yorkshire, has 25 years’ banking experience, most recently leading a team of private and corporate banking managers for Handelsbanken.

Progeny Asset Management (PAM) has appointed Mark Lane to the new role of head of active funds. Lane was previously investment director at abrdn, where he was co-PM of the MyFolio Sustainable range and the Dynamic Distribution fund.

Julius Baer appointed a new head of its Lucerne branch. He succeeded Jürg Haverkamp, who has led the Central Switzerland branch for the past five years. Weisshaupt has been head of the private banking entrepreneur desk at Luzerner Kantonalbank since 2018. Previously, he was responsible for the private clients and family office division at the consulting firm Balmer-Etienne in Lucerne.

Asia-Pacific
EFG International appointed Seamus Yin as market group head for Hong Kong and China, “Ultra Clients.” In addition, Miao Miao and Lianghan Chen were named team heads and client relationship officers, respectively, both reporting directly to Yin. 

Yin, who has more than a decade of experience in the sector, was previously managing director, global market manager of mainland China offshore – South and West, at Citi Private Bank in Hong Kong. Prior to this, Yin worked at JP Morgan Private Bank in Hong Kong. Miao and Chen have worked at Citi Private Bank. Miao was previously a director and team head at Citi Private Bank.

Other additions include CROs Jack Wu, Ruby Chen and Savannah Sun who are also senior veterans in the industry.

Union Bancaire Privée in Hong Kong named Ivan Tam as team head and Calvin Poon as relationship manager. Based in Hong Kong, Poon reports to Tam; Tam reports to Teresa Lee, the Hong Kong CEO and region head for north Asia. Separately, Leslie Ching was appointed as lead investment consultant, UHNW business.

Berlin-headquartered private equity platform Moonfare, whose APAC business is based in Singapore, hired Blackstone and EQT alumnus Adam Banks as its new Singapore-based head of the Asia-Pacific region. At Blackstone, Banks was a Singapore-based principal. Previously, he worked in London as a vice president for Brookfield Asset Management, as a manager for EQT Group and an investment banking associate for Jubilee Financial Products. 

WRISE Prestige, a subsidiary of Singapore-based WRISE Group, appointed Henry Shin as its new CEO. With more than 26 years’ experience, Shin took on the CEO responsibilities and day-to-day operations from Jowin Fung, who moved to focus on his vice chairman role. Both persons report to Stephen Yan, chairman, WRISE Prestige.

Vistra, which provides business services, appointed Kevin Smythe as country managing director for Japan. With over five and a half years in Japan at Vistra and a former Tricor employee, Smythe served in roles as director of sales and marketing and leader of the company secretarial service line.

S64, the alternatives fintech and solutions partner to the wealth management industry, appointed Gaurav Katyal as Asia-Pacific chief operating officer, based in Singapore. With more than 28 years of financial services experience, Katyal’s career includes 22 years at Deutsche Bank where he latterly served as head of frontier markets.

S64 also appointed Shawn Ko as head of South Korea, based in Seoul. Ko is a financial markets and alternative investment specialist with 20 years' experience focused on South Korea. Prior to S64, he worked for 15 years at Deutsche Bank, leading coverage of South Korean financial institutions.

LGT Wealth India, part of Liechtenstein’s LGT, appointed Poonam Mirchandani as managing director for the wealth planning and family solutions division; Based in Mumbai, Mirchandani works with the LGT Wealth India team to expand its offerings in succession and estate planning. She also helps with wealth management, global mobility, and philanthropy, reports said. Prior to this, Mirchandani served in senior roles at Barclays Private Bank for more than 13 years. She also worked at Vistra ITCL India.

The Westpac board of directors appointed Anthony Miller as group CEO and managing director. Miller, chief executive of Westpac’s business and wealth division, is to succeed Peter King, who will be retiring after a 30-year career at Westpac, including five years as CEO. Prior to joining Westpac, Miller was Deutsche Bank’s CEO of Australia/NZ and co-head of Investment Bank, APAC.

BNY Investments, part of BNY, appointed Masaaki Sakakibara as head of Japan. Formerly at Mercer Japan, Sakakibara reports to Doni Shamsuddin, CEO for Asia-Pacific at BNY Investments. Sakakibara replaced Katsutoshi Endo, who retired in June this year. At Mercer, Sakakibara was wealth business country leader and CEO of Mercer Investments (Japan).

JP Morgan appointed Kwang Kam Shing as its new Hong Kong chief executive, taking the helm from Harshika Patel, who has stayed on as head of the firm’s private bank in Asia. Kwang, who reports to Sjoerd Leenart, the Asia-Pacific CEO, oversees local governance, coordination, and controls. She will also continue to foster employee and community engagement in the Hong Kong operation. Patel, who was the Hong Kong CEO for three years, took over from Kwang as CEO of the Asia private bank in October last year.

Hang Seng Bank appointed Derek Ngai as the head of audit. Ngai took over from Jennifer Zhou, who completed her six-year tenure at Hang Seng Bank. Before joining the bank, Ngai was the audit head for Hong Kong and Macau at HSBC. He has also served in various audit and banking roles at HSBC over the past decade.

Lazard Asset Management (LAM) hired Ada Zhang as director of China sales. Zhang is based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining LAM, Zhang spent 11 years at Capital Group Investment Management where she was managing director – head of Greater China, institutional.

L&G Asset Management made a number of Asia region appointments. Russell Huang was named as head of wholesale distribution for Southeast Asia, and Aaron Kwan was named wholesale distribution head for Greater China.

Huang, who has more than 15 years’ industry experience, was most recently executive director at UBS where he advised regional clients on portfolio asset allocation decisions and managed solutions investments. Kwan has been active in the banking and asset management space globally for 16 years. He was most recently director, retail distribution at HSBC Asset Management, Hong Kong. Both men report to Gerald Koh, head of wholesale Asia (ex-Japan), who is based in Singapore.

In other moves, L&G’s Asset Management arm brought in Choong Yew Thong as research analyst in the Singapore office. Most recently, Choong Yew Thong was a quantitative analyst at GIC. Kate Lim joined as ESG analyst, working with Trista Chen, head of investment stewardship for Asia ex-Japan.

North America
Northern Trust made leadership changes in roles affecting asset servicing, wealth management and the family offices business. 

Steven L Fradkin, who has served in roles including president of wealth management, president of asset servicing, chief financial officer, and head of the international business, was named vice chairman of Northern Trust. 

CFO Jason Tyler, who became president of wealth management, was head of corporate strategy, asset management’s head of the institutional group, and wealth management CFO. David Fox, president of the global family and private investment offices group, was made chief financial officer. He served in roles such as head of the Americas for asset servicing and vice chairman of investment banking for JP Morgan. Peter B Cherecwich, president of asset servicing, moved to be chief operating officer, a newly-formed role. Finally, Teresa Parker deferred her previously-announced retirement to serve as president of asset servicing. Parker most recently served as president, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). She has been based in London, Singapore and Chicago and has held executive leadership positions including CEO for asset servicing; head of the Asia-Pacific region; and global head of securities lending.

Commonwealth Financial Network, a US wealth manager, added new members to the Jacksonville, Florida-based Aegis Consulting that joined its network of affiliated advisors in 2023. The latest additions were Mark O’Sickey and Paul Solorzano. Like most of the Aegis team, O’Sickey and Solorzano were formerly affiliated with Osaic and its predecessor, Lincoln Financial Advisors, for a combined 31 years. O’Sickey is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and Solorzano is based in San Francisco, California.

Yayati, the wealthtech and investment management provider that is planning a fundraising round for the business, appointed Jerry Chafkin as chief investment officer. Chafkin is former CIO of AssetMark. 

US investment bank and wealth manager Oppenheimer & Co recruited Alan Richmond, executive director – investments, and Clayton Ellis, director – investments. They report to Phil Hall, executive director, who leads the firm's growth initiatives in Tennessee. Richmond and Ellis, who joined from B Riley, where they managed a wealth management services practice, have 15 and 17 years of financial services experience, respectively. 

Scottsdale, Arizona-headquartered Monetary Metals added gold investment experts Ronald-Peter Stöferle and Mark Valek to its advisory board.

Bank of America Private Bank appointed former Citi Private Bank figure Austin Koenen as a private client advisor, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Koenen serves UHNW families in Georgia, South Carolina and the broader Southeastern market. With more than 20 years’ experience under his belt, at Citi Private Bank Koenen built a £2.7 billion book of business.

RBC Wealth Management welcomed a 15-person team, known as the 770 Group, from UBS:

RIA Ballast Rock Private Wealth appointed Joe Miller as a wealth advisor; he is based in New Canaan, Connecticut. Prior to this, Miller was an advisor at Merrill Lynch. He began his career at Morgan Stanley as a fixed income specialist before moving to high yield and distressed corporate credit trading. 

Coller Capital, which manages private market secondaries investments, named Phil Gaechter as a director based in Chicago. He works in the private wealth secondaries solutions team. Gaechter reports to Jonathan McEvoy, managing director and head of US private wealth distribution. Gaechter spent more than 22 years at Nuveen, most recently within its private wealth advisory group, where he was responsible for fundraising efforts amongst private clients, private banks, and RIAs in the Central region of the US. 

Ocorian, which provides fund administration and corporate services, recruited Michael Gull as head of US funds sales. He is based in Ocorian’s New York office. Gull has worked in the sector for almost three decades at firms in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York.

Financial advisor George Elkin joined Cetera Advisor Networks, part of Cetera Financial Group, via North Ridge Wealth Planning with his nephew, Josh Elkin. The duo joined Cetera from American Portfolios, an Osaic company.

Vista Capital Partners, based in Portland, Oregon, appointed Dougal Williams as its new chief executive, taking the slot vacated by Doug Johanson, who now serves as chairman of the board of directors. Williams has served in various roles with Vista since 2004, most recently as chief wealth officer and lead advisor.

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co added former Hirtle, Callaghan & Co senior figure Tom Spano to its multi-family office team in Philadelphia. Spano has more than 20 years’ investment sector experience. At Hirtle, Callaghan & Co he was responsible for leading family and institutional relationships in Philadelphia and across the Southeast of the US.

Patrick Cantlay, a top-10 world ranked professional golfer who competes on the PGA Tour, became an investor and general partner in a fund run by LRE Management. The sportsman joined LRE’s inaugural LRE Opportunity Fund I; he is also a member of the company’s newly-formed advisory board.

Wealth Access, a wealth data technology firm, appointed Drew DiMarino as chief revenue officer. DiMarino, with almost three decades of experience, worked in financial and wealth sector businesses such as Riskalyze – now called Nitrogen Wealth. DiMarino also held executive positions at Apiture and eMoney Advisor.

Cetera Financial Group brought in a former UBS figure to its Wilde Wealth Management Group to head its newly-created W Family Office Division. Drew Kliber leads the organisation. 

Separately, a seven-person team, Innovative Premier Financial Services, joined Cetera Wealth Partners. The team is led by managing partners David and Kate Frank and serves about 500 clients. The Franks have served the Houston area since the early 1990s. 

Cerity Partners appointed Todd Cassler as its inaugural chief growth officer. He has worked in the financial services sector for more than 20 years. Most recently, Cassler served as chief strategy and growth officer at Mariner Wealth Advisors. 

TD Securities named John Comerford as managing director and head of quantitative strategy. Comerford previously worked at Credit Suisse.

Cresset, the US wealth management group, appointed former JP Morgan senior figure Amy Hong as its new chief compliance officer. Hong took over from Bob Pagliuco, who previously announced that he was retiring from a post he has held since 2018. Hong is based in San Francisco. Most recently, she was managing director, asset and wealth management operations, at JP Morgan. Before that, Hong was at First Republic Bank. (JP Morgan bought First Republic last year.)

Baird added Darrell Reynard as a director and financial advisor to its wealth management office in Fairfax, Virginia. Reynard, who has more than two decades of industry experience, was previously at Edelman Financial Engines where he managed over $293 million in assets. 

Wealth advisory firm WFA appointed two figures from the sports and broadcasting world. It added retired Cincinnati Bengals safety Brandon Wilson and former KSLA News 12 sports reporter Rashad Johnson. 

Gresham, a US investment and wealth management firm managing $9 billion for families and family offices, promoted Leisa Storbeck, a partner, to head of client service. Storbeck joined the Chicago-headquartered firm in 2005.

Bluespring Wealth Partners, which acquires RIAs and hybrid wealth management firms, appointed Pradeep Jayaraman as its new president. Stuart Silverman continues to serve as the firm’s chairman. Jayaraman, based in Austin, Texas, spent more than a decade at Focus Financial Partners. Most recently, he was co-head, partnerships and business developments, at that firm. 

Pipeline, which provides digital solutions for the life insurance and wealth management industries, appointed Joe Yurich as chief revenue officer. Prior to this role, Yurich spent five years at Zuora, an enterprise software company. 

London-headquartered Ninety One, a global asset manager, appointed Sangeeth Sewnath as managing director, Americas, based in New York. Sewnath replaced Philip Anker, who helped the firm build a platform and presence in the Americas. Anker left to pursue new opportunities after a transitional period. Sewnath, an investment industry veteran with 26 years’ experience, joined Ninety One in 2000.

Financial planning and investment advisor Charles Hahn joined Cetera Advisor Networks, part of Cetera Financial Group. Hahn has worked in the sector for 42 years.

Robertson Stephens Wealth Management named Mike Barnes as head of operations. Barnes has nearly 20 years’ leadership experience in the financial services business. He was formally at Ellevest as the head of financial operations, supporting $2 billion in client assets for digital and private wealth management platforms.

Raymond James welcomed Garrison Financial Group to its network. The group is run by financial advisors Craig Garrison, Timothy Hall, and Matthew Strelau. The group, based in Littleton, Colorado, is supported by investment broker, Andrew Ekberg, client service associates Emily Gabriel, McKell Gurewitz, Misty Cummins, Andy Hackard, Jared Espinoza, Kate Kaye, and marketing consultant Katie Cline.

The firm also brought in financial advisor Miguel Velázquez to its employee advisor channel in The Woodlands, managed by branch manager Michael Mulloy. Velázquez was previously at Citigroup.

The firm added financial advisor Matt Bennett to its employee advisor channel in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was previously at Morgan Stanley. He and senior registered client service associate Danielle Rich operate as Matt Bennett of Raymond James. 

Financial advisor Terrence Medley joined Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm's employee advisor channel ­– in San Jose, California. Medley arrived from Wells Fargo Advisors, where he managed about $112 million in client assets; he was joined by financial advisor trainee Dan Medley. 

The business welcomed financial advisors Jaden Gurney, Trevor Hanson and Jonathan Rogers to its independent advisor channel. Previously, they worked at Zion Bank and LPL Financial where they managed about $1 billion in client assets. 

It welcomed financial advisors Chas Gualano and Andrew Comans to Raymond James Advisor Select within its employee advisor channel, in Brandon, Mississippi. The team serves business owners and family offices as Gualano Comans Wealth Advisors of Raymond James, part of RJA’s Brandon branch led by complex manager Bill Geary. They arrived from LPL Financial where they managed over $360 million in client assets and are joined by client service associate Nicole Schuh.
