Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Burgess Mee Family Law, Continuum

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

Burgess Mee Family Law
Burgess Mee Family Law has appointed private client lawyer, Georgina Crane, as a legal director.

Crane will focus on expanding Burgess Mee’s private client offering – which includes wills, tax planning, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, probate, and estate administration work – both as a standalone service and to provide further support to the firm’s family clients.

Crane was previously a senior associate at London law firm, EMW LLP. She has an extensive track record of advising high net worth individuals, city professionals, entrepreneurs, and family offices. Crane works alongside established financial advisors and other professional advisors for a coordinated and integrative approach to clients’ estate planning.

Continuum Advisory Partners
A new London-based corporate finance advisory firm, Continuum Advisory Partners, has strengthened its team with the appointments of two new senior managing directors: Duncan Buck and Andrew Gould. This will take the firm’s headcount to 35 staff since opening earlier this year.

Starting in early 2024, Buck, a financial services banker with over 25 years’ M&A experience, will focus primarily on advising clients in the insurance sector, the firm said in a statement. He has been at Fenchurch since 2012, where he was a senior managing director and vice chairman. Prior to Fenchurch, he was a founder of Lexicon Partners, which he helped build from 2000 to 2011 when the business was sold to Evercore.

Gould will join Continuum as a senior managing director in the first half of 2024, the firm continued. An experienced financial services banker with 20 years’ experience advising on M&A and fundraising, his expertise includes advising (re)insurers, MGAs, brokers, technology and service providers to the personal, commercial and specialty lines insurance markets, the firm added. He will be joining from Deloitte, where he was a partner based in their London office,

The move comes after Continuum advised on a number of insurance and wealth transactions this year, including advising Titan Wealth Holdings, a UK based wealth consolidator, on its investment from Parthenon Capital, a Boston-based private equity firm.
