Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Finantix, Wisdom Tree, Others

The latest senior moves in the wealth management sector of Europe, Middle East and North Africa.

Finantix
Finantix, the wealth technology firm, has appointed Gareth Williams as business development director in the UK. 

Williams has a background in private banking and wealth management, holding posts such as IT director, service delivery director and programme manager at Brewin Dolphin, Investec Wealth & Investment UK and Hambros Bank. He joins the business development team based in London.

Wisdom Tree
Wisdom Tree, the exchange-traded fund and exchange-traded product sponsor, has appointed Ravinder Azad as head of UK and Nordic sales.

Azad will be responsible for driving WisdomTree’s sales and business development efforts across the UK and Nordics. This includes strategic planning, strengthening existing relationships, and broadening WisdomTree’s investor base.

Azad has 20 years’ experience in the investment management industry, having spent the last 12 years as UK ETF business development director at Invesco ETFs.

The firm has also added Sam Coppell and Cameron Trundle to its UK sales team; they hold sales support roles. Coppell joins from BlackRock and Trundle joins from Last Word Media.

IQ-EQ
IQ-EQ, the investor services group formerly known as SGG, has appointed John Legrand as managing director of UK and Ireland and member of its executive leadership team. 

Legrand has a 22-year career in business roles, working in large firms and start-ups. Prior to joining IQ-EQ, Legrand was managing director for Asia-Pacific with BlackRock’s alternative investment software provider, eFront. Before that, he spent 10 years with BNY Mellon in Singapore and London as managing director of the Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions and he was head of business development for BNY Mellon’s Asia-Pacific asset servicing division.

IQ-EQ employs more than 2,800 people located in 23 jurisdictions and has assets under administration (AUA) exceeding $400 billion.

Maitland
Maitland, the global advisory, family office and fund administration firm, has made two hires in Europe: Natasha Head and Craig Rowland join as business development managers, based in London.

Head will be responsible for growing Maitland’s management company and fund administration businesses across the UK, Guernsey and Luxembourg. She brings more than eight years’ experience working in the alternative investment industry, having previously worked at an independent fund administrator selling fund solutions to UK private equity and venture capital managers.

Rowland will be primarily focused on growing the UK domiciled ACD and fund administration businesses, bringing 20 years’ experience building sales teams across North America, Europe and Asia within the financial services industry.
