First Names Group
First Names
Group has appointed Robert Hessing as director,
corporate services of its Luxembourg office, effective
immediately, the firm said in a statement.
With over 21 years’ international experience in the US and
Luxembourg, Hessing specialises in private equity and corporate
real estate transactions. In his role at First Names Group, he
will be working closely with Andrej Grossmann, head of corporate
services in Luxembourg, and will lead a service delivery team
focusing on private equity and real estate clients in Europe, UK
and USA.
Before relocating back to Europe in 2013, Hessing spent more than
16 years of his professional career in the US working as an
attorney with Kirkland & Ellis LLP. During his time with the firm
he worked on private equity and real estate transactions as a
part of US domestic and cross-border M&A transactions on
behalf of Fortune 500 companies and major private equity firms.
Hessing has also worked for EY, in both their New York and
Chicago offices, and for UBS in Luxembourg.
Orbium
Orbium, a financial
services business and technology consultancy, has appointed
Alistair Shipp as associate partner, the firm said in a
statement.
Shipp will help drive further growth of Orbium’s European
strategy and operations consulting practice. He will be
based in Orbium’s London office.
Bringing 14 years of financial services industry experience,
he joins Orbium from HSBC where he was head of business
planning & strategy for group wealth management. Prior to HSBC,
Shipp worked at Barclays, where he helped with
strategic business transformation initiatives.
