Newton Investment Management
Newton
Investment Management, part of BNY Mellon Investment
Management, has appointed Andy Warwick to its real return team.
He will report to Suzanne Hutchins, co-lead portfolio
manager.
Warwick will join on 30 July and, subject to any necessary
approvals, will work as a co-lead portfolio manager on the Newton
and BNY Mellon real return strategies, alongside co-lead
portfolio managers Suzanne Hutchins and Aron Pataki.
He joins from BlackRock where he was co-manager of the BlackRock
Dynamic Diversified Growth Fund, as well as being manager of the
BGF Flexible Multi-Asset Fund, BlackRock Balanced Growth Fund and
BlackRock Balanced Managed Fund.
Carrick Wealth
South African firm Carrick
Wealth has appointed Ben Nevin as manager of wealth
management and advisory in Botswana.
Nevin was previously a wealth specialist for Carrick Wealth in
the Western Cape, where he was also a member of the firm’s client
servicing team.
Cazenove Capital
Cazenove
Capital has appointed Ahmet Feridun as manager of investment
research within its wealth management client business.
Ahmet, who will report to Caspar Rock, chief investment officer,
will be responsible for strengthening the fund research and
investment strategy capability.
Manulife Asset Management
Manulife
Asset Management has named Christos Tsaravas managing
director and head of distribution for Switzerland.
He will be tasked with leading business development in the Alpine
State.
He reports to Marco Zanuso, head of distribution for Europe, the
Middle East and Africa, and is based in the firm’s newly-opened
Zurich office.
“Christos has an excellent reputation and relationships in the
Swiss market," said Zanuso. "His experience and local knowledge
will help us to better meet the needs of our clients and further
drive our expansion in Europe."
Ocorian
Ocorian, the corporate
and fiduciary services provider, has made a host of senior-level
appointments.
Joining the group are Sally Gilding, senior consultant and
non-executive director; Chris Wilson, director of transaction
management; and Sinead McIntosh, associate director of product
development.
The trio collectively have more than 30 years’
experience.
The new hires follow the appointment of Alan Booth as managing
director of Ocorian’s UK business earlier this year.
Coinvestor
CoInvestor, a
platform digitising alternative asset transactions for fund
managers, investors and advisers, has appointed Rob Ferguson as
its chief operating officer.
Ferguson has spent more than 20 years working within software,
financial and legal firms. In his last executive role he was
chief commercial officer of IG Investments at IG Group, the
online trading business. Prior to that he was a partner at Weil,
Gotshal & Manges, an international law firm.
