Saracen Fund Managers
Edinburgh-based Saracen Fund
Managers has appointed former Investec manager David Taylor
in a new role as business intelligence manager to help build
clients.
Reporting to CEO Graham Campbell, Taylor’s primary focus will be on applying data-driven approaches to client relationship management, communications and operations, the employee-owned group said.
He previously spent seven years as an investment manager at Investec Wealth & Investment also in Edinburgh, and before that was part of a quant team at UBS Global Asset Management in New York.
Saracen CEO Campbell said the new role has been specifically developed to make the best use of Taylor’s skills.
Kingsley Napley
Law firm Kingsley Napley has
announced two new partner hires. Christina Kelly and Michael
Mulligan have joined the firm as partners in the Corporate and
Commercial and Dispute Resolution teams respectively. The firm
made 11 new partner hires in late 2020, bringing total partners
to 66.
Kelly, who is joining from Taylor Wessing, specialises in real estate finance, acting for lenders (bank and non-bank, at senior and mezzanine levels) and borrowers, including REITs and high net worth family offices. Her experience covers investment and development facilities and a wide-range of asset classes, including in particular "big-boxes", student accommodation, hotels and mixed-use office and commercial properties at both a domestic and cross-border level.
Mulligan, who is joining from Shakespeare Martineau, specialises in contentious insolvency and commercial litigation covering corporate recovery, bankruptcy, fraud and enforcement. He works mainly with insolvency practitioners, financial institutions, corporates, high net worth individuals and offshore advisors.
