Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - Tilney, LGT Vestra
The latest senior moves in wealth and asset management from across Europe and the UK.
Tilney
Tilney, part of
the Tilney Smith & Williamson brand, is establishing a new
dedicated investment management team at its Newcastle office in
response to growth in the North East, bringing the team there to
16.
Investment manager Matthew Burgess will head the team, joining
managing partner David Smith at the Quayside House office.
Burgess spent five years previously at Tilney’s Liverpool office.
In a further move, Angus Wilson has joined Tilney in the region
as assistant investment manager. He joins from Brewin Dolphin.
Establishing a new team will give clients in the North East the opportunity to have their investment portfolios managed by a locally-based advisors, Tilney, said.
Burgess manages a range of client investment mandates including charities, business owners and private client portfolios. He graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in economics and finance.
Wilson graduated from Durham University in 2018 with a master’s
in international relations. Having completed his investment
advice diploma, he is currently working towards his master's in
wealth management. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute
of Securities and Investment.
LGT Vestra
LGT Vestra, the
UK-based wealth management firm, has appointed Matthew Wiles to
its investment research team to strengthen the sustainable fund
selection process.
Holding the title of sustainability funds analyst, Wiles joins
from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he had been senior
investment analyst and manager of the MyFolio Sustainable fund
range.
Wiles’ focus is on sourcing investment ideas within the
collectives universe including open-end funds, unit trusts and
investment trusts that are aligned to LGT Vestra’s sustainable
framework.
As at 31 March, LGT Vestra employs 370 staff and has offices in
London, Bristol and Jersey. It is part of
Liechtenstein-headquartered LGT.
