Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Ocorian, Aviva Investors, Kingsley Napley
The latest moves and appointments in wealth management in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.
Ocorian
Jersey-headquartered Ocorian has
strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of
Matt Bythell as chief marketing officer, based in London.
Bythell has experience in the management consulting, professional services and financial services sectors gained from a 20-plus year career in senior marketing and communications roles, the firm said in a statement.
Most recently, he was marketing director at Link Group, where he helped to launch and establish the brand in European financial services. He has previously worked at EY and Arup.
“Matt’s extensive experience and expertise gained during a successful career building teams across leading organisations will be a major asset for Ocorian as we continue to focus on supporting and protecting our clients and their global investments,” Tania Mohacs, chief commercial officer, said.

Aviva
Investors the global asset management business of Aviva, this
week appointed Vasileios Gkionakis as senior economist
and strategist, reporting to Michael Grady, head of investment
strategy and chief economist.
Based in London, Gkionakis will cover macroeconomics and major asset classes with a focus on the UK and Europe, the firm said in a statement. Until July 2023, he worked as the EMEA head of FX strategy at Citigroup and before that served as the global head of foreign exchange strategy at Lombard Odier Wealth Management in Geneva. Prior to Lombard Odier, Gkionakis was co-head of strategy research (Equities, Rates, Credit and Cross Asset) & head of foreign exchange strategy at UniCredit Bank Research in London, the firm continued.
Gkionakis' career also includes working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Fulcrum Asset Management in London as research director and portfolio manager.
“He has a strong track record within macroeconomic analysis and strategy. His wide experience across markets and asset classes will be highly valuable in helping the ongoing development of Aviva Investor’s house view and investment strategy,” Grady said.

Kingsley Napley
UK law firm Kingsley Napley has
appointed Sophie Voelcker to its private client team.
Voelcker will focus on advising UK resident and/or domiciled
clients regarding wealth structuring, estate planning and trusts,
with a particular interest in any cross-border taxation and
succession issues for clients with international assets or who
have relocated abroad. Voelcker also has experience providing
such advice in the context of matrimonial disputes and
pre-nuptial agreements.
Prior to this, she worked at New Quadrant Partners, a boutique
law firm where she was a partner since 2017. Voelcker trained at
Payne Hicks Beach and is a member of STEP (The Society of Trust &
Estate Practitioners).
