Sri Lankan PEPs in the firing line

The Sri Lankan government has established a presidential taskforce to recover billions of state assets stolen by 'politically exposed persons' from the previous regime.
More than US$1 billion has, so far, been traced to accounts in Dubai that are controlled by key personnel from the last government. The Sri Lankan government is seeking assistance from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Reserve Bank of India to track down and return all of the stolen funds to Sri Lanka.
