Clive Adamson, the much-vilified former head of supervision at the Financial Conduct Authority in London, has been awarded another non-executive directorship.
Ashmore, the world-girdling investment management firm, was founded in 1992 as part of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group. It has given Adamson a non-executive job on the board. Before his time at the FCA and its predecessor, the Financial Services Authority, Adamson was a senior advisor in banking supervision at the Bank of England. He is also a NED at JP Morgan International Bank and the Prudential.
Ashmore Group plc is in the Financial Times Stock Exchange 250 Index. Its head office is in the City of London and it has offices in China, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Turkey, and the United States.
