New compliance software for AIFs on market

Sales Road Maps Online, a London software firm, is now providing Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs) with marketing compliance “rules of the road” that apply in 50 jurisdictions when those managers are raising funds for AIFs.

Cathy Brand, SRMO's founder & CEO (pictured), claims that the product is the first of its kind, being the only marketing compliance tool that one can find online, and that it is the result of years of requests from clients. She also asserts that the only other products on the market are "legal research matrix products," a description to which her product does not answer.

All AIFMs must comply with the rules of differerent countries when marketing their AIFs there. The product or 'tool' aims to help them investigate numerous and complex national regulations swiftly. The tool responds to mobiles and tablets.

SRMO's marketing material claims that the other products on the market summarise the rules of various countries but adds that only SRMO tells the user how to apply them, with lists of "dos and don'ts."

AIF marketing cycles are notoriously demanding, requiring quick and relevant answers to questions about national rules. SRMO prides itself on its data being in-depth and not confusing.
