The Dubai Financial Service Authority is alerting financial firms about a group of fraudsters who are impersonating it.

The scammers are using a fake document (entitled "Non circuivivention [sic], non-disclosure agreement (NCNDA)") to attempt to charge potential customers in return for the setting-up of a meeting with a legitimate DFSA-authorised firm, which has no knowledge of the document and no connection to the scammers. The document uses the DFSA’s logo without permission and calls itself a "non-circumvention, non-disclosure agreement” and a copy can be found here.

The DFSA is telling the public that it does not allow authorised firms to use its logo when signing agreements and it does not charge fees for meetings of any sort.

The DFSA strongly advises everybody not to respond to any communication regarding the scam, and under no circumstances should to send any money to any party involved in the scam.
