TLT takes on two financial services regulatory partners
Chris Hamblin, Editor, London, 3 October 2019
The British law firm of TLT has expanded its financial services regulatory practice with the appointment of Angela Hayes and Robin Penfold as partners in London.
Ms Hayes is a long-established expert in financial services regulation and has defended many enforcement cases and dealt with many regulatory investigations, including internal investigations. She has been particularly active in the asset management sector and in regulatory matters concerning market abuse.
Penfold specialises in retail financial services regulation and helps clients on a range of regulatory and compliance matters, especially consumer credit, mortgages and payment services regulation.
His experience with regulatory cases that involve mortgages, loans, credit cards, current accounts, savings and investment products is extensive. He once worked for a regulatory body, although the law firm does not say which.
These appointments bring TLT’s financial services regulatory team up to 15, consisting of six partners and nine associates, and further growth is in the pipeline. The team covers a range of specialisms including payments, investigations, mortgages, enforcement, consumer credit and asset management.
