DFSA to set up platform for cyber-experts

The Dubai Financial Services Authority has promised to open the first cyber-threat intelligence platform to be run by a regulator in the Gulf of Persia.
It has done so in collaboration with the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, the National Computer Emergency Response Team for the United Arab Emirates, the Computer Incident Response Centre and the Open Source Threat Intelligence and Sharing Platform Project (MISP).
The DFSA will host the platform and will outsource its management of the platform to HelpAG, a regional provider of strategic consultancy and information security software. The regulator wants the platform to help bring "a community of information-sharing" into being among both regulated and unregulated companies in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), although it does not say why any firm that can escape its purview would ever want it to know about its problems with cyber-security.
